La Piña is the name of a beautiful 2-storey 2 bedroom townhouse located in the peaceful Pueblo Andaluz neighbourhood (‘urbanisation’) of Alhaurin Golf Village.
This quiet and tranquil setting lies amongst the hills and countryside of the Sierra de Mijas, overlooking the green of the course and the blue of the Mediterranean Sea. Nearby, the small town of Alhaurin el Grande is within 5 minutes drive, and the beaches of one of the nicest coastal villages, La Cala de Mijas, are within 12 minutes drive.
La Piña is also within 20 minutes drive of Malaga’s modern airport, with frequent flights from the UK and other European cities. It is a similar distance from the glamour of Marbella and the glitz of Puerto Banus harbour.
La Piña is completely legally ‘safe’, documented, registered and all with approvals in place including the regional government’s planning regulations.
So why ‘La Piña’?
In Spanish, the word Piña (pronounced ‘pinya’) means both pine-cone and pineapple; it’s very appropriate. La Piña’s countryside abounds in small pine trees – and the pineapple is the traditional sign of hospitality.
We even had our window grilles (‘rejas’) made to a pine-needle inspired design.
